Blomeyer & Sanz conducts an evaluation of OSCE project ‘Strengthening the fight against transnational organised crime in South-Eastern Europe through improved regional co-operation in asset seizure, confiscation, management and re-use’

Blomeyer & Sanz is conducting the evaluation of the first phase of the Organisation for the Security and Cooperation in Europe extra-budgetary project “Strengthening the fight against transnational organised crime in South-Eastern Europe through improved regional co-operation in asset seizure, confiscation, management and re-use”. The evaluation covers the project period from June 2019 to March 2023, during which the project worked toward the goal of improving the effectiveness of the fight against transnational organised crime and corruption in the OSCE region by providing support to the entire asset recovery chain and striving to improve regional co-operation between the five participating States of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia as well as within broader networks and with specific EU member states.

During the data collection phase of the evaluation, Blomeyer & Sanz has conducted a field mission to consult with relevant stakeholders in Belgrade, Serbia, and further field work has been carried out by the members of the evaluation team in the project’s other participating states.
