During this summer we contributed to the preparations for the new Cohesion Policy programming period by reviewing the mainstreaming of climate change in all 19 regional and 3 national ESF Operational Programmes for 2014-2020 in Spain. In addition we reviewed climate change mainstreaming in three programmes for the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (Canary Islands, Catalunya and Castilla La Mancha). The overall objective of this contract was to assist the European Commission’s DG Climate Change with the mainstreaming of climate change into the Partnership Contracts and Programmes for the European Structural and Investment Funds in 2014-2020.
