BLOMEYER & SANZ CONDUCTS AN EVALUATION OF THE RED NOSES INTERNATIONAL’S CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAMME

RED NOSES International (RNI) contracted Blomeyer & Sanz to conduct an evaluation of their Children with Disabilities programme aimed at empowering disabled children and improving their emotional well-being through humour and laughter. This is done through specific interactive performances of professionally trained and qualified RED NOSES healthcare clowns. They use a so-called Caravan Orchestra performance, a musical theatre of specially-designed formats, to engage with children and youths with disabilities, particularly multiply handicapped children and those with mental health issues.

The evaluation will provide an analysis of needs faced by children with disabilities in seven countries, namely Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. Furthermore, the evaluation will specifically assess the impact of the Children with Disabilities programme on disabled children implemented in six countries (Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia).
