Blomeyer & Sanz has completed the monitoring report of academic citations to the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) for 2025. This monitoring assignment had the specific objective to provide EIGE with information on which EIGE’s data, evidence and outputs are used in the EU and international policy making process and research; what is the importance of these citations and what are the trends on using EIGE’s outputs in policy making and research.

Our monitoring report will help inform EIGE on how their work is being used and their future contributions to the field. This was a follow-up assignment for the same research in 2024. Blomeyer & Sanz has provided monitoring and evaluation services to EIGE for various contracts since 2020, including ‘Measuring EIGE’s impact in policy making’ (2020-2024), ‘Monitoring references to EIGE by national level policymakers’ focusing on the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Hungary, Italy and Poland’ (2022), and the ‘Monitoring academic citations to EIGE’ (2024-ongoing).
