blomeyer & sanz provides external expertise for the European Parliament
blomeyer & sanz has been selected by the European Parliament to provide external expertise to the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs for the years 2014 to 2018. This focuses specifically on police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters and data protection (Lot 5). Our partners for this assignment are the Basel Institute on Governance and the Complutense University of Madrid (Complutense Institute for International Studies). Under the same framework contract, we are a partner of the consortium led by Matrix for the provision of external expertise on asylum policy.
This adds to our existing portfolio on the provision of external expertise for the European Parliament, currently including:
a Framework contract on external expertise for the Committee on Budgetary Control, 2009-2014 (3 lots, on Cohesion policy, Foreign policy, and the administration of the EU institutions);
and a Framework contract on external expertise for the European Added Value Assessment Unit, 2013-2017, comprising:
- Lot 3: Environment, Public Health, Food Safety, Employment and Social Affairs (with our partners Policy Research & Consultancy (DE), the Institute of Hygiene of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (IT), the Institute of Pharmacological Research (IT), the Royal Tropical Institute (NL), the Institute of Public Affairs (PL) and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s Department of Health Services Research and Policy (UK));
- Lot 5: Legal and Constitutional Affairs (with our partners Basel Institute on Governance (CH), Dikei Abogados (ES), and the Institute of Public Affairs (PL));
- Lot 6: Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, Women’s Rights and Petitions (with our partners Basel Institute on Governance (CH), the Complutense Institute for International Relations (ES), the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute (ES), the Institute of Public Affairs (PL) and the University of Northumbria (UK));
- Lot 7: Regional Development, Transport and Tourism (with our partners Complutense Institute for International Studies (ES), SE Consult (ES), HBH Euroconsulting (HU), and SAFEGE BALTIJA (LV));
- Lot 9: Development and International Trade and Economics (with our partners Policy Research and Consultancy (DE), the Complutense Institute for International Relations (ES), and the Foundation for International Relations and External Dialogue (ES));
- Lot 10: Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence (with our partners Egmont – the Royal Institute for International Relations (BE), Danish Institute for International Studies – DIIS (DK), Complutense Institute of International Studies – ICEI (ES), the Foundation for International Relations and External Dialogue – FRIDE (ES) and Institute of Public Affairs (PL)).
