Blomeyer & Sanz evaluates a Project on Human Rights for the Council of Europe
Blomeyer & Sanz evaluated the training activities carried out in the framework of the Council of Europe / European Union Joint Action ’Fighting ill-treatment and impunity and enhancing the application of the European Court of Human Rights case-law at national level in Montenegro (FILL)’. The Action is part of the CoE/EU Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey and it aims to reinforce the judicial institutions and rule of law in Montenegro, ensuring that human rights of the local population are better respected. More specifically, it aims to strengthen the capacity of the judiciary to apply the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) case law at national level as well as the capacity of the legal professionals to fight against ill-treatment and impunity. The evaluation was undertaken between in June 2018 and involved desk research and consultation with local stakeholders in Montenegro.
